Carlos Perla is a creative retoucher who first worked in a boutique atmosphere, getting hands on experience by directly collaborating with photographers and creative directors in the fashion and beauty industry.
Carlos most recently was the Retouching Manager at major cosmetics manufacturer. In addition to managing a team of retouchers he gets involved behind the camera shooting beauty campaigns and still life.
Previously Carlos was the lead photographic retoucher at a major post production house. This is where he started consulting, then directing photoshoots, and having a hand in the photo selection process.
Carlos has expanded his skill set by studying Maya. His new knowledge has allowed him to manage various CGI projects and teams; working with clients and CGI artists to keep projects on time and on budget.
He has also been a part of creating new business by developing clients in partnership with the sales team. While attending meetings Carlos has lent his experience and creative points of view assuring the client in the creative skills of his team.
He lends his artistic perspective to all his projects, ensuring that all finished images, whether CGI or photographic, are as realistic in appearance as possible. Carlos enjoys the challenge of creating and improving art for various industries including, consumer goods, automotive, fashion, beauty, hospitality and real estate.
